Did anyone happen to archive the old Geocities Cork Radio website? In particular, the "Transmitter Gallery"?

I did and I sent a copy to watty when he was mod around here. Does anybody know who originally put it on Geocities and maintained it until a few years back.??

I would very much like to send a copy to them by way of thanks for the great and almost unrivalled resource they provided for so long.

We discussed its imminent demise here

Any chance of posting a mirror of it somewhere? Many of the pages are not accessible on the internet archive site.

I don't have publication rights to it and I cannot upload it to boards ( I tried) , if BK wants it I will mail it to him and maybe he can make it available for everybody on this board if he chooses. It mainly dates from 2000 but it was last modified in early 2007

The original author appears to post under the name/pseudonym 'Myles Long':

The most valuable single page on it was this one (attached) showing the analogue allocations and the turn of the century DTT rollout plan. It also shows deflectors and 'self helps' ( deflectors taken over by RTE)

Download it and rename it tvch.html before you open it.

Thats the one, great that someone archived Geocities.

There was a second 'cork radio' site on that site.

Since geocities closed down last year, a lot of them are archived in the geocities.ws sites properly. If not you can try the .es version that also contains archive material. The problem with archive.org's crawler is that it mostly ignores jpegs, hosted or not.

The geocities.ws archive seems to be down/gone. Anyone know of another mirror?

I saved it with wget from geocities. And some other ones.

I can put up sites if the owners give me permission or if folk believe there is no copyright issue.

There was a chap who was involved in the pirates in the 90s in Dublin who used that jock name but I dont think it is him.

"The Doc" over on radiowavesforum will be able to tell you who owns that content. I would be surprised if it isnt himself.
