What does * and + mean beside a users name?

Hey, Just browsing through forums and was looking at who was online. Beside my name there was an asterix (*) and beside two other users a plus sign (+). Just wondering whats that all about?

* beside your names means that you're logged in using invisible mode. Obviously you're the only person whose name you'll see with an asterisk beside it.

+ indicates that the person is on your friends list.
