Replacing door jamb

Hi, just wondering would anyone know a rough estimate to replace a door jamb?! We figure we can probably do it ourselves, but not sure of the cost of materials, etc... The dog has chewed into it quite sufficiently and want to get it fixed asap. There hasn't been any damage to the actual wall/plaster just the actual wood.
Thanks for any advice/knowledge anyone can share!
