    Terms of Service

This offer of free Irish Calls for Life forms part of a SIP based telephony service provided by Blueface Ltd. The terms offer and service are used interchangeably. The offer is subject to our standard terms and conditions of service, along with the following additional terms and conditions which form part of the contract. Using the service is conditional on accepting all terms and conditions, and customers accept the terms and conditions by purchasing the service.

    1. This offer is available for new customers for a limited time period, and while stocks last.

    2. The service is to be used for normal residential use which is defined exclusively at the discretion of Blueface.

    3. This product may NOT be used for any commercial purpose whatsoever. Use for commercial purposes will render the offer null and void and the service will be terminated without notice and without refund.

    4. Usage of the service is governed by our fair usage policy. Blueface reserve the right to monitor your usage. If you make excessive use of your unlimited call service your service may be restricted or you may be asked to subscribe to an alternative service package. Blueface, in its sole discretion will define what constitutes excessive use of the service from time to time. Blueface may at its absolute discretion withdraw the free Irish calls facility from any customer whose use of the service, in the opinion of Blueface either risks degradation of service levels to other customers, puts the Blueface Network at risk or where the usage of the Services is inconsistent with normal residential usage or is for purposes that are not reasonably used by residential Customers.

    5. Abuse of the service, including but not limited to over usage, using for commercial purposes, using to dial call card gateway services, use with auto-diallers and any non-residential use, will render the offender liable to immediate disconnection without refund or recourse. Abuse of the service will be notified by email and the service will be disconnected without further notice.

    6. Free calls for life refers to the lifespan of the Siemens Gigaset phone provided with the offer. This phone is supplied without guarantee or warranty other than the manufacturer's guarantee and/or warranty. Blueface cannot accept responsibility for any fault or failure of the handset.

    7. The offer is specific to the device supplied with the offer, and may only be used with this device. Use with any other device will be deemed an abuse of service.

    8. The free calls for life offer is contingent on the operation of the phone and its continued compatibility with the Blueface IP service. As the IP Telephony industry changes rapidly, customers with the free calls for life plan may be required to upgrade their hardware, at their own expense, at any time in the future to ensure continued compatibility with the Blueface network.

    9. Blueface accept no responsibility whatsoever for any hardware failure, software failure or network failure which necessitates the purchase of a new device by the customer.

    10. Only devices purchased from Blueface or its authorised resellers may be used with the Blueface network.

    11. Calls not included in the offer include calls made to Premium Rate Telephone Services, calls to Directory Enquiry Services, calls to certain Phone Services (such as 1890, 1850 fax, data calls and call card gateways) , Teleconferencing calls, international and mobile numbers. This service is intended for calls between two individuals to and from regular Irish landline prefixes (For example, 01,02X, 04X, 05X, 06X, 07X, 09X). Specifically, the area codes included in this plan are those defined by Comreg in the Irish Geographic Telecommunications Numbering Areas detailed in Comreg Document 03/147, plus the non-geographic number code 076. This offer may not be used for call forwarding, monitoring services or other connections that are not between two individuals.

    12. In order to make any calls outside of the free calls for life offer customers will be required to top up their PAYG account by a minimum of 20 euro and each time PAYG credit reaches or approaches zero a further top up will be required. Where PAYG credit is used customers' credit card / laser card details are automatically saved at purchase for this purpose.

    13. If a call exceeds 60 minutes you will be charged at out of package rates. So hang up and redial after 59 minutes.

    14. Accounts which remain inactive for a period of 90 days or more will be closed. Inactive means that no calls were made or received during the period.

15.The service is limited to just one sip account.

    16. It may take between 7-10 workings days to fully process and fulfill your order.

    No thanks.

"Blueface cannot accept responsibility for any fault or failure of the handset."

Wrong. Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act 1980. They have to cover it. Not sure I trust a company with a line like this in the T&Cs...

Sorry people. Didn't read the terms of service, which I assume they will hope for when people sign up for it. Complete bullsh1t advertising if you ask me.

Well I for one would be annoyed if my box didn't arrive with all of its listed contents.
    What’s in the box?
    No more phone bill

    * One Siemens Gigaset Cordless (DECT) Phone and accessories
    * Unlimited Irish local and national calls for life (Yes, for life)
    * One Geographic Number (i.e. local number in Dublin, Cork, Galway etc)
    * An invisible bar of chocolate

Who can verify if its really in there!!

Note too it's only free calls to Irish LANDLINES for the life of the handset. Calls to mobiles are up to 27cent/minute 8am-6pm. I prob only spend about 5 euro / month tops on landline calls.

I was thinking about getting Blueface, but you'd worry when you see offers as slippery as this.

Blueface - There's one Company I wouldn't trust, touch or recommend under any circumstances to anybody, ever thanks to this shoddy and idiotic mis-promotion.

Did you read their terms or conditions (that were linked)?

There is a manufacture warranty with the phone.

I have a Blueface line and same phone (i think). I've had it awhile. Its been through 2 house moves. And still going.

Blueface provide a decent service. I topped up in 2007 and still have credit left despite regular calls to Canada and oz.

PS their terms and conditions appear no different to any mobile provider t&c for free text/credits

If I get this blueface phone in, do I have to cancel my landline with the company Im with and only keep the internet connection?

I've been using Blueface for years too and it has saved me a bundle. No problems whatsoever. However, I agree this is a stupid promotion, the usual caveat applies, if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Always read T&Cs.
