Weekday Casuals (Wednesday Feb 10th)

Are any people interested in weekday casuals? I can never seem to make it to casuals on Saturdays and have only made it to three tournaments I think. Are there any people who can and even want to try have weekday evening meets?

Something along the lines of meeting at around 6 or 7 at XGC until 10 or so on a Wednesday? It would mean more regular meets and I'm sure there might be other people that can't always make it on Saturdays and would like to get some offline play in.

Not too sure i think we had this out before, saying money for renting the consoles could add up & keep people from going on Saturday if they want to.

Also people coming from the likes of tallaght aswell would be hard done by if they work out there or even further.

I'll definitely be up for it. I'm in trinity and I finish college at 4 on wednesdays, so any time after that is cool.

I know that distance and money will be a factor but if people are in town or nearby they might want to have a few games, plus there'd probably be less people anyway, so you wouldn't need as many consoles as necessary.

I'd be up for any mid-week meets.

I prefer mondays and thursdays cause then we can get the cheap drinks in Fibbers after. Much cheaper then those Saturday nights.

Well if people can say what day suits them best maybe we could agree on one for this week? Any day so far is fine for me, was just picking Wednesday as it's midweek and gives people time before the Saturday casuals.

Yeah Wednesday sounds good to me just to have it spaced out (though I can probably make any evening, except possibly Thursday).

. What sort of time will we be playing until? We normally quit at 6 on saturdays due to buses but we wont have that problem surely during the week.

Well, to clarify, this week is not good for me as I happen to be in another country working. But I would be interested (at least a bit) when I get back.

A week early, but I might be able to pop in for a bit on the one next Wednesday (17th).

I'll mostly be playing BB probably but I might try to get a few SF4 matches in since I've given in and decided that I have to learn how to play it if I wanna have more than a handful of players as competition in a game I play up north. :P
Don't laugh too hard at how woeful I am, I seriously have no concept of the fundamentals of the game yet.

I didn't bring the game disc with me (left it up north so Holly could practise more on Tuesday) so I hope you have a copy with ya. :P

Kinda wish I'd brought my PS3 with me so I could practise in the hotel, there's nothing to do when Holiday Inn internet access is so expensive! Hell, I'd be up for Monday and Tuesday casuals too at this point!

Vyse no point in going XCG if it's only gonna be the 2 of us there thats a waste of 10 quid each, swing by my house while your here i have a stick,ps3 & BB among others here. Though Wednesday is casuals day in XCG lol.

Do you live near the city centre (within like a 30min walk from the Holiday Inn on Pearse St)? I'm pretty broke so a taxi is kinda pricey for me! Just how much is console rental anyway? €10 per person seems pretty hefty unless you're getting a good few hours for it.

Are there no other people at all who are likely to give BB a go at XGC? I kinda fancy playing a little SF4 while I'm there anyway since I'm more or less being forced to learn to play it!

edit: On that note, if anyone sees a day 1 Abel with no execution skills whatsoever who can't understand Dublin accents, that'll be me. :P

I live 30 mins by bus, which only costs 2 euro, i have no problems meting you in there though. I doubt theres anyone up for a tuesday AND a wednesday session. Let me know if your still up for it.

Eh, 30mins by bus is a bit far since I wanna get back to the hotel before late (taxi driver told me it's a rough area, hurrah for that). I'll just show up at XGC on Wednesday.

Btw those tips you gave me REALLY come in handy online lol, went from 24-29 in 1 night and was beating lvl50+! Got the 21478D saber down aswell... ON A PAD lol

Btw one match i'm having trouble with is Hakumen, any tips? His air dash C is killing me, and 6A ain't working

6D the moment he leaves the ground for a juggle.

6A should beat out his j.C though, or sometimes clash. If you time it right he'll never hit you out of your 6A.
