    Hi all,

I am looking for an 85W adapter for a macbook pro. (Long story but I got sold a dud and need it replaced as soon as possible).

Where can I get one fast and cheaper than apple preferably.

I'm guessing this was a second hand sale?

Fast - PC world or another apple reseller.
    Cheaper - www.misco.ie or ebay I'm afraid.

    Yeah it was second hand.

Well I have gone throught the likes of misco and all but was hoping to find somewhere that might have a refurb or something for a tad bit cheaper. Found one in the US for $49.99 but shipping was $80!

Dam it, I just read that its not a good idea to buy an ebay adapter.

Computer City in Ballybrack do Genuine Apple and OEM supplies from 47 euro plus VAT.

    www.ccity.ie

    (01) 2820458

The site requires a sign in but if you call them direct they will sell to you.

    Hope this helps.

e-bay is like a giant shopping mall so you will always find good and bad shops

rule of the thumb - only buy from ebay top rated sellers with a reasonable feedback (check ie. last 10 transactions - if they weren't $0.99 e-books etc. but the actual products you want to buy then it's ok

I'm only writing it as I just bought an AC adapter you're looking for 10 quid on ebay and it works perfectly, also bought the separate AC plug for 1.5 euro and it works and looks exactly the same as the original one I had (all Buy Now, no auctions) so it's not really as scary devil as some may portray it

I'd recommend trying either of these:

www.thebookyard.com - Apple parts supplier in Liverpool, UK
    www.apple4less.eu/ - Macroom, Co.Cork
