Hi, I read the charter and it doesn't seem to be against the rules to include pics.
So I am looking for advice about my teeth. I have an orthodontist appointment in about 7 weeks.

I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if I would be suitable for other types of treatment rather than the traditional train tracks.

I'm not looking for a diagnosis or anything (I know it would be impossible from a picture anyway). I will follow my orthodontist's advice, but I would really like to avoid train tracks as I have to do a lot of public speaking.

So if anyone could have a look and let me know what they think, it would be great.

they dont look to bad so my guess is if you do wear the train tracks you wont have them for too long, id say less than 12 months but that is only a guess, he might need to expand the palat on the roof of your mouth to create space between your teeth and this also straightens them

Thats a serious procedure, the Gf had it done and will leave you in hospital for a few days.

hi, one really needs full records for proper diagnosis and it's a bit hard to see. you might have a crossbite on your right (pics are a bit blurry) You'd don't need surgery for expansion as your problem is minor and don't need to go to hospital.

if you can post a picture you how your teeth meet at the back on both sides, that make it easier for me.

OK, I don't know how I will get a photo like that. I will try.
    Thanks for your help.
Out of interest, how is a crossbite repaired? re braces the only answer?
    Thanks again Vishal.

braces, schwartz appliance, quadhelix, RPE if really severe. you can google for more info.

i am sure lingual braces are an option. maybe invisalign depending on photos. maybe also inman depending on your goals for treatment as well as xrays.

you should speak to your orthodontist. not all orthodontist's offer those other treatment options and they become more expensive and more difficult. you can ask him to refer you to somebody who does if you want.

upper and lower clear braces would be the easiest.

    hope this helps
