    hi,could anyone tell me the ins and out of changing a lc amazon 5 seat from private to commercial tax

    This thread tells you how to commercialise a passenger vehicle.
    Unfortunately you cannot make a 5 seat 80 or 100 series into a crewcab any longer, this has stopped since the measurements were changed.
    Front seats only or Passenger. Crewcabs can be hard to tax in some areas as well.

    thanks for that,but what i dont understand is how do guys comerically tax navaras etc are these new rules on the specs of commercial vehicles

    Previously you could make larger 4x4s into crewcabs, they had a volumetric measurement, now you cannot. If the vehicle is built as a crewcab from the factory then you can tax it accordingly.

    If VRT has been payed i,e, Irish reg vehicle all you need to do is remove rear seats and belts, plug bolt holes with plastic metal, D.O.E. test,submit to motor tax office for inspection.
    Some motor tax offices are looking for proof of business use when registering/taxing com.vechicles, check with your local motor tax office before you convert your jeep.
