Reports of heroin addicts in the UK(scotland) dieing and the autopsy shows they died from anthrax

Sounds like a way of culling heroin users.

Anthrax found in 19 heroin users since december, 9 of whom have died.Six from Glasgow.

First cases in London confirmed on Friday 5/02/2010 AEST

Who would cut heroin with anthrax?

To use the cliched term on this forum do you have any proof of this? By this I mean autopsy reports.

Drug dealers like most business people are in it for the money (although I'll admit it's doesn't make business sense to kill your customers) so why not cut it with what you have available? Although I doubt anthrax is the most obtainable thing in the world.

The anthrax 'probably' comes from animal hides used to smuggle the heroin.




As for a conspiracy to kill heroin users? No, purer heroin influx would have more effect.

Someone knows quite a bit about importing of "goods" don't they?

a few years back there was also anoither 'bad' batch of heroin which also killed a good number of heroin addicts.Think there was bacteria or something.

Again it first showed up in glasgow and spread to these shores.Will see if I can find a link.

Health Protection Scotland said tests carried out by the HPA and the Robert Koch Institute and Friedrich-Loeffler Institute had revealed the link.

"Tests on the strain of anthrax isolated from a heroin user who died in Germany in mid-December have shown it is indistinguishable from strains isolated from anthrax cases in Scotland," a spokesman said.

Fourteen of the confirmed cases in Scotland had the same strain of anthrax, while the others are still being investigated.

The small mortality rate leads me to think it was a single shipment infected by anthrax virus, probably from animal hides. If the governments really wanted to wipe out heroin addicts then they could do it easily enough and have a massive mortality rate across Europe. The only issue would be using a virus/toxic compound which wasn't instantaneous so that the addicts wouldn't have time to associate the whole dying thing with the bad batch of heroin. Polonium would be excellent.

Is there not an island off the coast of Scotland that was used for anthrax
biological weapons testing in the1939-45 war.
Still off limits as far as I know, and ideal for smuggling.
May just be a contamination issue.
Cant see why the suppliers would want to kill off the customers.
If it was government thing, they would have done a much better job of it.

Jaysus You've given this far too much thought.

I dunno tho with current governments a lot of it is the fear factor, 100 Junkies in terror of a bad batch is better in the 'Prevention' Stakes than 2 dead junkies, or somesuchlike Spin.

they wouldnt need a lot of people to die just a few people regularly, this woul;d dispel the 'its only one bad batch' theory from most of the Junkies, then terror sets in and we move from MI5's Heroin to the CIA's Crack Cocaine
