20,000 to spend. Ceed SW or Octavia Estate?

Looking for a new diesel car for family of 5, 1 in baby seat, 2 in smaller/booster car seats.

Any advise about either the two cars I have mentioned, or any others would be gratefully received. 20,000 is all dependant on the good people at the CU, so if you have any cheaper options, they too will be appreciated.

Reliability and performance most important, status and style totally unimportant!!! Am going to be driving it for at least the next five years so will learn to love it whatever it looks like.

    Thanks.

Difficult one, while i think the Octavia is the better car and more spacious, its hard to argue against the Kia with a 7 year warranty. Also, would prefer the engine on the skoda, cheaper road tax and probably more economical. I'd pick the skoda i think, although many would disagree with me..

would the ceed or octavia fit a child seet + 2 booster seats?

you might go for something that bit wider.

    Like this mabey?

Its a little bit bigger and you might negotiate your way to 20k

You are right about the seats in the back being an issue, but can squeeze them in. Not ideal though I agree. Bit limited to choices that comfortably fit them in my range I think.

Why would you advertise the car with a broken tall lamp poor quality control by the garage.

Maybe the Skoda Superb is worth having a look at though you may struggle to find something non MPV that will fit a baby seat and two booster seats.

Have you thought of something like this?

Stunning car but I admit you might have problems getting the baby seats in! :D

Does it really have to be an MPV - there horrible!!!

That price is dependent on you having something to scrap :/, but the older Superb is fairly plentiful and may well fit them. But it's fairly dated.

Maybe wait for the new Opel Meriva?
I know it's an MPV, but looks quite good and clever ...supposed to cost no more than the old one (which started at 18k list here)
