Was watching a DVD called A Lenten Retreat last night by Fr. John Corapi. He had some great quotes in it. One of them was "God has placed a limit on our intelligence but no limit on our stupidity" (my have been by someone else - can't remember).

Thought this was very true and I can think of so many situations in my own life where I've done something really stupid with prior knowledge of knowing what I was doing was sill which made it all the more studpid if you know what I mean.

I also liked the quote "No pain, no gain; no cross, no crown". I think this applies to all aspects of life. If you don't put in the work whether if be in school, sport, relationships etc you will not get what you think you deserve. I like the way he interwove the image of the cross and crown with the first part. When we put in the effort in anything we are in fact giving glory to God and God rewards us for our efforts.

Would love to hear some more interesting quotes.
