Sadly I poured tea over one year old Dell inspiron laptop. I thought all would be ok as no sugar/milk and dried off/upside down/hotpress for few days.

I did not know about taking out the battery immediately  as well as power and sadly the motherboard is dead. I paid someone to diagnose this and retrieve data.

Dell wanted over 400 Euros to replace motherboard. I did not think it was worth this as got new laptop for less.

Does the old laptop have any value? Could it be repaired for less? Is there a 'salvage yard' for dell parts anywhere? It was a better machine that the replacement with built in mic/webcam and fancy colour tho not new windows.
