Double click doesn't bring up music controller

    sometimes.

It doesn't happen much, but on my Touch sometimes when I double click the circley button it doesn't show the music controller and just acts as a single click. I'm not being slow about it, honest! I've tried clicking as fast as possible when this happens and it doesn't make a difference. I tried restarting and that didn't make a difference either. But then a few hours later it just starts working.

Anyone else get this or should I officially call myself slow, old and feeble?

this function only works when the device is in lock mode. (top button pressed). Maybe when you are trying it you don't have it locked?

You can actually set it to do it though when phone isn't locked in settings > general> home > double click > iPod

Sorry Gordon I misread your post. Thought you were using iPhone. Not sure of same applies on iPod touch.

No prob! It should normally work in lock mode and general, normal mode, even when using apps.

But, I think I just figured out that it seems to only work when there is a song set in the history. So, if you restart the ipod and then double click, you don't get the music controller. But if you get a song, play, pause, start using some apps then double click - the music controller pops up.

I think this must have just started with the latest update as I used to be able to unplug the ipod from the computer, double click and then start playing random songs.
