Can they see in their dreams? Or do they dream in sounds/touch/sense?
Any blind people on here to clear this one up?

I'm blind, but my monitor's on the blink, so I can't read this.

I would think that they see in their dreams, certainly not the way that people who can see would, but they can feel things, so they can probably picture what things look like.
Of course they do have imaginations, which I would think that they use regularly, especially in dreams.

If they have been blind from birth their dreams consist of mostly audio sensations. People who went blind later in life can see in their dreams.

Is there any other way when it comes to electric sheep?

This thread reminds me that when I was a small kid I used to literally believe (thanks to old photographs etc) the world was black and white prior to around 1970. What a day it must have been for those people to wake up on 1/1/70 and see the world in glorious technicolour for the first time!

It depends, blind people who went blind after being able to see do dream in full colour.

Blind people from birth dream in sounds and touch.

A little googling would answer your question, why the thread?

Me too..haha I forgot about thinking that..

Id say blind people might see spots of colours(blind from birth) depending on how they went blind..but they wouldnt be able to dream of lamps or people or any object they we would..

We had a similar thread last year and someone posted about their brother or sister who was blind.

    Maybe they'll post again.

Because the OP wants people to have a laugh at the expense of blind people maybe?.

ive always wondered the same thing, also can blind people even see colours? do they "see" pitch black or maybe bright white the entire time.if you tell a blind person something is dark or bright do they have any recognition of it? i find it mindboggling to be honest, i really cant fathom being blind.

I wonder about this sometimes too. Let's say a person has sight for the first ten years or so or their life, and then loses it. 30 years later, the sight may be a blurred memory to them. They know what a tree (for example) feels like, but if they tried to remember what colour it is, what would they see.
For that matter, how would you describe "green" to a person blind from birth?

Was asked this by friend the other day. If it happens after birth, they'll be able to see depending on the age they lost it at. People who have been blind since birth, dream of noise and emotions. :D

You're forgetting that blind people are more accute in their other senses. A quick smell of the paper will let them know when they're done......probably.
