Am in the progress of getting new tractor. Any ideas out there on what would be the best buy at the moment. I am looking at john deere at the moment. I am in the market for 100-105hp with a loader.

what kind of work will you be doing with it.
in my opinion john deeres are over priced especially the higher spec ones.

what you need is a jd 6330 standard which is the equivelent to a 20 series premium inside the cab.

if you do a loader work jd is a no brainer with thier full frame chassis, which transfers the weight right to the back axle , and ensures even tyre wear, all so there is no strain on components ie newholland , mf engine block is bolted to the bell housing and so on, in a jd its independant and bolt into the chassis

also if you do road work the standard is available with tls front suspension which is capable of improving traction up to 20%

    where abouts are you

I am in the Sligo area. Have got price for JD 6230 std with loader for 58K. Have been told that the new 6230std are now 105hp and the new 6330stds are 115hp. Does anybody know if this is correct? The std now has 16x16 power quad plus transmission and is a lovely tractor to drive. The deere is an expensive piece of kit new when you compare its price to a new landini.

if your comapring a landini you should price the 5m

    i am from sligo too

that seems dear for that kit,

where did you get that price from?

Got that price from murphys Headford. Am trading in a landini ghibli 100 with loader and have been asked 32500 with trade in. What do you think one should be expecting to part with?
