i just fitted an m203 to my m4,non ris type
the gap between the top handguard and the launcher looks terrible.
what are my options to address this issue?

Tape the battery connector to the barrel so it doesnt show... theres MEANT to be a gap between the handguard and 203... other options are to get a ris and a peq, or, to cut a slot in your lower handguard, and fit that over the 203... canadian style.

option one: add a ris front section but you would then need to use a peq box

option two: re wire the battery to the back, add lipo in buffer tube or crane stock

option three: re wire to rear and add ris front

option four: rewire to rear and add solid stock

Option five: Man up and tape it :D Real guns use tape.... pretty is... not a battlefield concern.

    hehe :D:D

You could get a ris handguard, it wont be as solid as dedicated quad rail but it should hold.

is the launched ABS or metal?

    the like of that

should still hold a nimh battery and save you the shame of a battery PEQ or effort of rear-wiring.
if not a 7.4v lipo will definitely fit there no bothers.

unfortuntlay you would not be able to fit even a lipo inside the ris, the only way you can is to turn down the barrel to ake more room, i know i;ve tried very very hard to fit one myself

Get the agm Ris set. It has a U bracket that sits over the gas tube and holds the upper ris perfectly firmly without movement without the bottom half on, i have it on my m4m203 setup :)

you dont even need a cranestock if you rear wire... I used a normal m4 stock, extended to the max, with a normal 8.4v ak stick battery in the stock tube... worked grand with a buttcap on to keep it in. Winner:D

or throw in a 7.4v lipo stock battery if you have a lipo charger :)

Or use our trick from back in the day... (Good god that makes me feel old....)

Get an m4 mag (metal) and take out the guts, now fit a readymag system to the side of the magwell, and put a large type battery in there (it fits)... hey presto... you've got a large in an m4, and its invisible and looks cool. :D
