Lads i have a ball of security fencing sitting here. Its too strong for building a pheasant run (steel too hard if they fly into it). Would it be suitable for a ladder trap? The squares in it are about 1" 1/2 wide by 8" high. Would they squeeze through??
Doing my head in looking at it sitting there

    Hi Dusty,

When you say a ball of it how much is a ball? I'm after a load of sheets.
Perhaps a deal is in order... ;)

I know of another club who has used it & meshed it out to stop em getting out.
I have heard of other where the fly & break their necks off the side of it.
If the budget is low put plenty of cover in the run so they can hide & try not & spook em.If you have spare galvanize put it around the sides.
Might be no harm to mesh it out either way...

    Well EP,
By a ball i mean 5 or 6 sheets. I used about ten for the dog run (and then some repairing it:rolleyes:.)
Your looking for a bit arnt ya? Give me a couple of days, i might know a lad with lots left over.

Well it may be a bit harsh on them if they fly into it, but if its all youve got, just overlap it and they wont squeeze through. We made a nice old run there out of green pest contol mesh with corrugated roof sheets sunk about 4ft down or else concrete to stop the foxes..done the job nicely
