Hassett's pub sealed off??

    Anyone know what happened at hassett's cross?? The area around the pub seemed to be sealed off with Garda tape this mornin, with a couple of paddy wagons parked up....

    Found this on breakingnews.ie
    An explosive device has been discovered at a pub on the north side of Limerick city.

    It was found at 4.30am today at Hassets Cross.

    Gardaí are also investigating a fire at the scene, which broke out before the device was found.

    The scene has been sealed off and gardaí are advising motorists to avoid the area.

    If you can read this, you're too close!

    It was alll a cunning ploy to get the custom of the Bomb Disposal Unit guys, who needs a dink more than soemone who just disabled a "viable device", although I'd say you could classify a can of Lynx and a lighter as a viable device:rolleyes:

    Drank there when it was Hassetts years ago and it was no problem with a local trade.
