Hi all,

Just a quick question when it comes to this gun about the psop-01 4*24 "i think" scope.

I was told of cheap clones out their but i want to avoid them as i havent heard anything positive about them:(, im wondering if their are good quality scopes that will fit the gun with little issue like maybe from the real gun or the king arms scope they have for their svd.

Any help would be appretiated......:D

The only issue ive seen with the scope was a loose wire in 2 of em caused the illumination to flicker a bit. ive heard of issues with zero'ing but ive never come across that.

Its a lovely scope though, really sets off the Dragunov., you can get an RIS rail thingy if you wanted to mount regular scopes.,

Tonyj Mc "faints at price" but is in aw with the website, ty matey for that, but will all those psop scopes fit ok to the gun.....:)

as far as i lknow there is two standard mounts Ak and SVD yours should be SVD mounts, have a look at ebaybanned http://www.ebairsoft.com/rifle-scope-chinese-p-1100.html thats the clone one, $116 delivered

not that diffrent, thats one thing i've really noticed issues russian stuff is about the same price as the chinesse knock offs of US gear

I actually have no idea where it came from, Tony had em when i saw them., You could PM him, he'll know better, who makes it etc etc.,

problem with the clone is its illumination unit drops too low and hits the top cover.... and the mount is weird.... best avoided. As tony said, kalinka optics is your best bet Though there is really nothing wrong with the clone scope... it hold zero and the illuimination is a gimic, on the real and replica. you'll hardly use it. so in fact the downside isnt one... but as you can pay the same for replica and real... go real

Aye, i was pondering all night about the real one....i'm convinced anyways the real one it is....thanks to the guys that helped me and to firekitten for convincing me;).....

One more question though, since buying stuff for airsoft from outside Ireland is not allowed anymore. I take it a real dragunov scope for a real gun would be out of the question for me to order in, would it...?

Nope there is usually no bother getting RS optics in alright, some parts are listed as ITAR products and thus can be exported from US or where ever, thanks to the UN Disarmament policies, but in general this doesnt apply to optics.

Customs shouldnt give you any hassle as its only NV scopes that are restricted but they may bollix you around for a while but as theyre not illegal to import, no different to any other glass, you will get it off them eventually.
And thats only if they stop it.

Steer clear of the clone scope its definitely not worth it, poor construction & materials, flakey unrealistic finnish, crap wiring and ive seen a couple where the reticle cant be adjusted for zeroing in.

Try Ebay, you should be able to pick up a Belarusian one for around 130-150 delivered from time to time.

only rifs ( realistic imitation firearms ) will be restricted in the future, accessorys are fine, as frank said you fine with scopes imported a load myself without issue

also try east wave optics on ebay http://stores.ebay.com/East-Wave-Ottima-Ottica done a lot of business with them without issue

just make shore you pick up the right clamp type

It says SVD in the description but says its a dove tail side mount.
Im probaly asking a dumb ques:o but is dove tail mount the same as a svd mount...?

Dont mind at all,

the link to the scope has the price, the wood kit was 85 from steve in seairsoft and a tin of varnish was about 10 quid.
