    Hiya

I haven't seen them in a wedding or a gig setting but I did go to one of their showcases.

I went to the one in the berkley court hotel on the weekend of the wedding fair in RDS. I found them to be nice people and professional but as a band I felt they lacked!

They had the full 'big band' on show however the sound of the music was too high and totally drained out the voices of the singers - at times you couldn't hear the singers voices over the music.

Fair enough these things can be fixed by adjusting the sound or having a sound engineer on site but not to have something this basic sorted for a showcase I thought was poor when they were trying to sell themselves to a room full of people.

On this basis we decided not to go with them.

Hope this is of some help

We saw them at a wedding. They did not seem to know what they were doing at all. There was no one dancing at all. The music just sounded wrong.
    Hope this helps.
We were looking at Harlequin but heard mixed reports about them. Anyone seen them?

Had the Bentley Boys for our wedding and couldn't be happier. Very professional and sounded great. They got everyone dancing and did a great set.

I am also interested to hear if anyone has any opinions on the Bentley Boys at a wedding? Do they manage to keep the dance-floor busy for the night?

    thanks

Have you tried contacting them to ask them?

this is the problem with countrywide pro bands, as long as the core of the band is the same theyll bring in deps or replacement professionals for the night who are perfectly competent at being able to play the songs. This jsut happens for whatever reason the original member just couldnt do the night (holidays/sick/doesnt matter) but do you want a phonecall the day of the wedding to say sorry, the drummer is sick so we cant do your wedding tonight?

I know 1 pro band who had a guitar player and a singer replaced for the night for whatever reason and the bride told them to go home, not because they were bad, its just they werent the band she hired.

If youre of the opinion that you want the band with a particular singer, ring them up and say youll pay their price as long as that singer is there or at least makes a good attempt to be.
