Looking for advice and feedback in relation to sales commission for my media sales (online) job

Commission is paid after the customer has settled with my company.

so if I make a sale in Feb 2010, the product is delivered in March and the customer pays in April, I will get the commission in May.

So its taking roughly 3 months to get paid my commission, does this seem long

and also if I left the job would the company be required to pay me all commission immediately even if they havent recieved payment?

    Hey,

Yep this seems long alright but these days most companies will only pay you commission when they get paid themselves. To be honest it's probably a better way to do things because most people spend their commission as soon as they get it and if the deal goes belly up they are in trouble. However 3 months does seem a bit excessive. Generally it's 1 - 2 months max.

No the company would not be entitled to pay you the commission if you leave. some may not even pay you at all. everything should be detailed in your contract.
