Dreaming about songs?

I have very little writing experience but I have had 2 dreams now where I have written a song with a good melody. When I wake up I forget the melody in about 2 minutes. Has this happened to anyone else and did a good song come out of it in the end?

This has happened me a few times. One time i managed to wake up and sing what i could remember while recording on my phone. What was on my phone the next morning was nowhere near as good as the song i heard, but i got an interesting chord progression out of it which i am using now in one of my songs.
