Dodgy Road

I work in the City Centre and live near Swords, coming home i drive down the N1 and turn off after the airport and drive through Holywell.

I've noticed that in rainy conditions the braking in Holywell is dire, this morning i was doing maybe 25 mph, an idiot didn't signal so i slammed on, skidded for a long time, this isn't the first time it's happened to me here.

Nothing wrong with my brakes or tyres at all, i did a brake test on the road a bit further down when no vehicles were around and it was the same, hardly any grip and just skidded.

For those of you who know this area there are quite a few mini roundabouts, and by the looks of the bent lamposts on the corner of these i'm not the only one having a problem.

Is it possible that they have put the wrong tarmac down on the road??

Yes it's a hole of a place to drive through I can imagine big carnage and death should there ever be a fire in the area and the emergency services have to get a fire engine through it.

I've noticed that myself, those roundabouts are like an ice rink anytime there's a bit of rain. It seems to be especially bad on the roundabout just before the slip for the M1 southbound. The lanes are also far too narrow for anything with four wheels.

I'm glad it's not just me then, there's something definately wrong with the road and there will be a serious accident before too long.

Who can you report bad roads too?
