So I need to change my cleats, but the problem is I tightened them too much when first putting them on and the allen key twisted the screws. ie.the allen key will no longer fit to loosen them.

    Any solutions?

Is there anyway of lubing the screws? ta

sounds like you've rounded the head of the bolt. It happens if too much torque is applied. You may be able to hammer a larger bit into the top or get torx head(like allen key heads with a star shape but used mostly on industrial bolts) into the bolt to loosen it. Another option is cutting a slot into the top s you can use a flat headed screw driver. Once you get the bolt off you'll need to replace it.

you can buy a box of heads for €10 euro in arrow diy shops ,i was in the same boat last week.

if not hack saw off the cleat ,you should have enough to get a plyers on to it then.

    Yep

hack saw the plastic away and use a vice grip / pliers on the bolts

your new cleats will have new bolts
