Charity 4-Ball Scramble in conjunction with South County for Haiti - 20th Feb

    Hi all,

    Every year our work golf society host a charity event, this year the Haiti Earthquake was one of the biggest disasters to hit a third world country. We want to do our bit for Haiti and with the help of the South County Golf Club we can raise thousands for the Haven Partnerships charity. Haven is an Irish charity setup solely to aid Haiti.

    We urge all members and visitors to grab a copy of our flyer (attached) and send it out to those interested. It's for a great cause, and we hope to raise over €4,000 on the day. We urge all members to sign up early as this event will fill up fast! A special thanks to South County who are kindly giving up 2 hours of tee time on Saturday to accommodate the charity event. South County are also providing Tea/Coffee on arrival and a hot meal after the round of golf.

    Details of the Event:
    4-ball scramble on February 20th between 11am and 1.30pm.
    Places limited to 25 teams at €200 a team.

    This event is open to all golfers!!

    All proceeds will be going to Haven charity who specialize in aiding Haiti.

    The full 18 will be open for this competition. After playing at the weekend greens are in great shape...

    Guys, is there anyway we could get some boardsies involved here?

    It's an excellent cause on a great course and for €50 the value is there also.

    You do get tea/coffee beforehand and dinner afterwards plus we hope to have some top prizes. I'm currently working on a 4 ball for The European...

    Even if you play crap you can still go home feeling good about yourself. It's a win win :D

    Anyway, hopefully a few of you can make it up and lend your support, cheers...

    Good news, raised E3,500...

    We had 16 teams participating and sold loads of raffle tickets.

    My team came last and I won nothing in the raffle but happy days.

    Well done Whyner, Played myself and our team shot a 42 -3 and were not mapped. Some score the 35. I assume that won it?

    Yip, 35 won it, think they had 3 high handicaps around 18 and one off 4
