    hi iam after creating a website which is crap but all i wanted to do was see could i get it online which i did. I am hoping to try and make a small site which will sell videos about putting up shelvs and small diy jobs and charge a small amount for them. My question is how can i have the video uploaded and also make sure that if someone pays for it how can i make sure that them and only them can see it?

    Hope you can make sens of the question as i said im only newbee to making a site

    if u could go to the site and just look at as i want to see did i install google analytics right. www.funtimes4free.com

    You will need to search for an eCommerce solution that can sell media/subscriptions. I know Apache's OfBiz can but it's very complex - I wouldn't recommend it unless you know something about java enterprise development.

    But perhaps one of the other open source eCommerce apps can also; ZenCart, osCommerce, Magento, PrestaShop are some of the popular ones that come to mind and are worth checking.

    Keep in mind you will need a whole lot of bandwidth if you are selling video online. You might start with just showing clips to show people the quality and sell the full video on DVDs via something like eBay?

    You would proberly want a open source free jobby! yea?:
    http://joomla.org can be installed on a server as long as it meets the server requirements. Access the admin part of it on your website, like for example: http://sitename.com/administrator then login and edit your website from anywhere in the world with a interent connection. There are some extensions (like 2000) to install and you should be able to find a suitable one or 2 or 3.. You could find the extensions you need here: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/e-commerce/subscriptions or here http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/e-commerce .

    Note. Joomla is free. I have no connection with the making of Joomla apart from using it for my own sites.
