As the title suggests Im enquiring about Breakdowncover.ie

I am planning the final details of my 2 weeks travel around France so I need European breakdown cover.

Their price is €79 for 12 months cover in Ireland including travel throughout Europe.

AA is €119 for the same thing.

Never heard of them before. Part of Blue Insurances (who I've never heard of before either). http://www.blueinsurance.ie/whitelabel/BlueCom_Aboutus.asp

I looked at them recently as was feed up paying too much to the AA but decided in the end to add onto my car insurance at renewal. I think Blue Insurance are reselling the same policy as Breakdown.ie - MAPFRE ASISTENCIA who appear to be international but I have never heard of before.

Blue Insurance are ok and have been around for a while. I have travel & car hire top up insurance with them although I have never claimed. They used to be located off Camden st but now in Blanchardstown.

Aviva are cheaper than AA, check your insurance policy - you might be covered - some add it on now

Didn't know that strangely enough because I just bought single trip travel insurance from them this morning on quoteme.ie
