Did anybody see Darren Clarke's miss on the 9th (his 18th, back 9 start), truly shocking…. He did something similar on the last two weeks ago. Got to put it down to bad concentration.

What are the chances of Robert Rock lining up his own putts FFS. Caddie is on the green lining him up on the line they discussed. He's doing it now more than a year, its a disease thats spread from the LPGA where its common place. Rant over

Would have to agree LOFT - looks brutal .. He's a professional so he should be doing it himself - no harm with the odd dodgy one when not too sure but every green ... madness !!!! thats my rant over too !!!

McIllroy doubled the 9th his 18th to fall 2 behind. I dont have details off top of my head but am I seeing this to regularly to be called unlucky.

He’s 20 years old and still relatively inexperienced. Yes, he makes lots of mistakes, but the years will iron some of them out. Let’s focus on the positives – today was his first European tour round in 14 outings not in the 60s. That’s pretty outstanding.

take your point wawI guess we are looking for someone to challenge Woods. Garcia was the last young European hope and now its our Rory. He now goes to the States and will immediately be compared with Tiger, it could destroy him....

it won't destroy him,he'll win his first major within the next 2 years,a flawless swing, the best golf swing in world golf inc Tiger
he just needs to hole more putts on a consistan basis,he misses a lot of putts from 10-15 feet that Tiger would hole more regularly
he hits more gir that Tiger so when his putting clicks he will be regularly competing alongside Tiger,

It's been a pretty poor finish to this so far today. There's a few players in with a shout at least but the golf itself has been very ordinary. Then you have Quiros and McIlroy imploding in the last few holes.Rory's done quite a bit of that lately, struggling to get across the line.Westwood seems to be one of the few out there with real bottle.

Went to a play-off with Westwood and Jimenez. 18th twice with par's for both.

Onto the par 4 9th and Jimenez drains a putt for par after Westwood missed his.

Jimenez wins and Westwood up to 3rd in world, temporally at least (Stricker leading on PGA tour).

Yes, Stricker will move to 2nd in the world if he wins today. But would Mickelson move to 3rd or 4th?

I dont think that Westwood has enough points from today to pass Mickelson unfortunately.
Good to see more players catching up to Mickelson and Woods at the top.
