An unfair advantage to Clearasil products?

Surely this forum contravenes Boards.ie's advertising rules by blatantly promoting an established and well marketed product?

    What do you think?

Funnily enough by even creating this thread and bringing it to our attention you yourself has just advertised the product more than a forum name could ever accomplish, because nobody really paid attention to it....until now.

    Bravo good sir!

Even the name 'Clearasil & Hormones'. Why not call it 'Skin Products & Hormones'?

Damn if only a sexy and dashing Onion had come up with a way cooler name... Ah well.

"The Clearasil Club" has the same problem tbh, although we're no longer advertising hormone supplements.

We realised that we weren't really reaching the target market for HRT drugs so we removed the reference.

The name stays! We voted recently enough to keep it, it's just easier to leave it that way.

    Serious answer time!

We've had 18 months of sporadic debate about the name. We've never had a majority in favour of changing it. Until that changes, the C&H name stays.

As for accusations of free advertising? Read the stickied "Acne Advice Thread" to see just how small a part Clearasil actually plays in posters' spot-removing activities :P

Master Bates has demonstrated on plenty of other forums that he is a troll that contributes absolutely nothing to any discussion. This forum definitely doesn't need his input.
