Irish price for 05 to 06 Audi A4 auto or VW Passat SE -full leather 100K+ mileage ?

    Im thinking of buying a car in the UK and Im wondering how much this car would cost in Ireland if I could find one?

    I will then work out their asking sterling price, boat fare, vrt etc ..

    So realistic Irish asking

    Automatic
    DSG
    Full leather
    SE sports model
    1.9 to 2.0
    Approx 100K on the clock

    1) Price range for Audi a4?

    2) Price range for VW Passat?

    Any help appreciated.

    Well the Audi wont have a DSG box anyway leaving the Passat. The Passat afaik doesn't get the DSG on the 1.9 so basically you're asking how much for an 05 100k DSG 2.0 tdi Passat with leather.

    From the stories flying around about early Passats you'd be mad to even consider it

    We just sold a 2006 Passat 2.0Tdi 170 Highline for €9,250 with 100,000km on the clock. It was manual, but a lot lower mileage than you are looking at.

    Surprisingly, nothing had gone wrong with that one! Think it's the only 05 or 06 that we haven't lost a fortune on maintenance.

    He has Automatic and DSG in the list so I assume he is aware and means DSG in the Passat and normal auto in the Audi? I could be wrong

    Yes its a 2.0.

    Are the DSGs bad on the Passat 05 + 06?

    Ive a bad left ankle and need an auto.

    Are the Audi 05/06 automatics not good?
    Ive heard the multitronic are bad.

    I heard DSG was great. So DSG is not available on Audis.

    Mechanic says get a simple automatic - I dont know what that is.

    Dont buy the 1.9 engine in either they are so sluggish and noisy. the 2.0 tdi is fantastic. youll pay well for one of these cars here and will look hard for the spec. Did u autotrader.co.uk or topmarques.co.uk is good i found my car on it..
