Hi I'm just wondering what to do with some vodafone shares I have. I can either get paid direct debit per month a very small amount, or I can 're-invest' in 'DRIP'. Now I have no idea what any of this stuff is or how it works, was wondering if someone could put it into laymans terms for me.

DRIP = Dividend Reinvestment Plan. So the dividend that was to be paid to you is used to purchase more shares.

The direct debit sounds interesting... AFAIK dividends are usually paid out in lumps, as they are declared, and not paid monthly.
Can you go into more detail on that?

Hi mort5000 What kind of detail are you talking about? The amount every month we are talking about is something like a euro and a bit. Feck all. Re-investing sounds more interesting to me in the hope they increase in value I suppose..?
