    Hey!

Wondering if someone could inform me! :)

Have the most beautiful pair of leather ankle boots, wore them out saturday night and the heel went down into one of the small holes of a manhole :(

The leather on the heel ripped a bit, anyways, I wonder if I brought them to a shoe repair place if they'd be able to recover the heel?

this has happened to a plastic-y red heel and another pair of boots I have and it annoys me to no end! :D You'd think I'd have learned my lesson by now and just steer clear of man holes! :(

It depends on where you go. Some specialised 'cobblers' may be able to do it, while 'repair' places that do a bit of everything (eg - keys, shoes, etc.) may not be able to.

The best thing is to look up the Golden Pages and see what shoe repair places are near you. Then set aside a bit of time and call into the places and see what they say.

There's a cobblers in Donnybrook too who do wonders with shoes, can't remember the name but it's just opposite the fire station, small little place but brilliant!
