Not quite sure what you mean. There are plenty of guidelines for how to write a book, and just as many authors who break them successfully.

When submitting, use double spacing, Times New Roman, 12 font and don't staple your pages together.

I'd like to draw the inside of a room in 3d,I'm trying to have it drawn from memory, as it was knocked in the 1950's and no photos of the inside survive!...a programme that would help me do this would be great!

Well I am also looking for a book writing programme, have seen such in the shops for sale, just to help me organise chapters, photo's etc...if there was any for free on line would be even better. Trying to write a local history book.
