Interesting. In a way I kind of admired Sram for not overcomplicating things and only having three groups. Having said that, they're only really targetted at the top end of the market at the moment and could do that with only two. This sounds more budget. I wonder can they challenge Shimano in that space.

This look at the Verenti range mentions it too.

    It says:
The range starts at £850, but once the new SRAM groupset – more on that when we have it – hits these shores there'll be a £700 version of the Kilmeston too, and a sub £1k Millook, which currently sports SRAM Rival running gear.

Both Kilmeston and Millook currently run Rival mechs and shifters so it suggests there might be quite a saving (if you assume all else is equal), with the Millook dropping from £1200 to "sub £1k" and the Kilmeston from £850 to £700.

I think it was a good strategy. Starting at the top they have been very successful at presenting themselves as producing only very high-quality groupsets.

Must say when I first saw that I thought the red lugs had potential, but that bike looks hideous. The red cables and brake hoods don't help either.
