electric shower interlocking

    hi people jus wondering is it possible to electricly interlock showers with out a priority unit been used for example just using contactors because it is not possible to have the two shower tails in the same place for the priority unit can i just conect the start button on each shower to a normaly closed contactor on its opposite contactor is this up to ecti regs or not rcomended.
    any sugestions thanks
