Right lads theres a 2 horse race on at kempton this evening at 6.30 with 2 runners (both 10/11) exceedthewildman and danger mulally.

Not bad odds for a 50/50 chance to lump on, I fancy the higher rated exceedthewildman running off a lighter weight than his rival (due to a 7lb claimer jockey) and because his trainer's form is far better than that of danger mulally?

    Anyone else have any ideas?

I'd go with the better drawn horse ;)

The tricky aspect is that this is a 12f race, Mulally has never gone over 9 and exceedthewildman has been as far as 10 (LTO).

The the LTOs are on the ATR archive if you want to take a look.

just because its a 2 horse race doesnt mean there's value

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,065 ✭✭✭j@utis

these two even cost the same when 2-yo's :D
I'll go for the wildman because he's rated higher

I said "not bad odds" because they werent that bad, the bookies have to cover themselves a bit too. Wouldnt have been suprised to see them both at 1/2, saw an 11 horse race yesterday with 3 horses under 5/2!

Were people to scared to work out the winner of a 2 horse race? Luckily i got the right one and some other people did too: exceedthewildman on the RP most backed window had almost 550 more bets than his rival.

A winner is a winner even at 10/11.

    After-timing alert! I was on him as part of a probably (un)lucky 15 :p

Try Irish racing for big margins

There was a dog race a couple of weeks ago where 4 of the 6 runners were 3/1 and the other 2 were 7/2!
I know this was probably due to the weather and only 2 bookies on the track but that's just taking the mick and then they wonder why people go to betting exchanges.

havent backed it cos i dont have enough time to study the candidates but recif de thaix looks good for the same reasons as yesterday (jockey taking off 7lbs) but id go with franchoek who looks a great bet to me at 3/1 with mccoy on board and trainers in form too

now that was a demolition job, 16 length victory!

Maybe somebody could post up the 2 - 3 horse races whenever they arise and we could nit pick through the stats to find the winner? I dont have the energy to run my own thread but maybe someone else does - just an idea if i can throw it out there

There are 2 x 4 horse races tomorrow at Bangor .

I dont think its any easier to pick the winner though.
