Early days but Connor McConvey seems to be coping well with pro (and Road) racing as well.

Good old Nico makes me feel young (he was born 2 days after me)

On that topic, does anyone use a post bike for their commute? You know, the sort where you stick all the letters up the front. (Apologies couldn't find a picture of an An Post one but they are the same idea: )

Do you guys think it might be acceptable for me to wear my green jersey from the Tour of Ireland with an Post shorts?

Or is that against the rules?

I have a TOI sprint jersey too. I find the pockets at the back are very high up and it is difficult to extract food or my camera while on the move. Anyone else find this?

No, practising my fixie skidz. Does that change things?

...we should really have a separate forum where I could find out about skid patches and stuff.

Is yours from this year or last year? Mine is by DeMarchi but now they're Santini.

My pockets are fine. It's one of the best fitting jerseys I own...

Santini. It fits fine but the pockets are strangely high. I think it is a Santini thing.

Wonder what Irish bar in Aigues Mortes Nico found last night to fuel up on Guinness for that sprint?!

According to Cyclingnews.com Nico came third. Still a really great result for him and for An Post team !

Great start for the SKT though.

Selfishly I'd like to see Paudi get a chance to go for it a few times rather than just be part of a train.

Paudi has had many chances to excel at top level over the past few years.

I don't think team orders were always holding him back.

Have to agree there but hope he hasn't given up trying.

Its ok to be a domestique at pro-tour or pro-continental level but at continental level its a dead end.

He has never gone well so early on in the season, and is clearly showing the benefits of starting racing 4 kilos lighter than in 2009.

Maybe aiming for a good result (Stage win) in Paris Nice?

    Nico won today !!!

Sean's brother Vinny was telling us on the spin this morning that; Eeckhout was, like a lot of Northern Europeans, snow bound in January. He was doing a lot of work on the rollers. He did one 6 hour session during which he drank 10 litres of water! He had his wife mopping up the sweat etc off the floor during the session. Now you know where he got his form from!

    from redrinking the sweat?

Due to the good results in the Etoile the Sean Kelly team have been awarded a place in Het Volk (I know it's not called that any more ;)).

One of only 2 continental squads allowed in.
