bleeding = inflammation = dirt (well... in 99.9% of cases).

the mouthwash will be ok, i wouldn't though, i'm not a fan of them, cos, as with most people, they use it instead of cleaning properly and thinking they've tried everything.
brush gently but thoroughly and floss. it will bleed when you do it, but you'll break down the dirt that's causing the inflammation then.
mouthwash after if you want. don't expect the bleeding to stop overnight either, it'll be there until the inflammation clears up. your dentist will tell you what extent it's at on tuesday. but you'll give yourself a head start that way.

Yeah I tend to bleed when I floss, but after a good clean it happens less often

I'm gonna try get a Waterpik. Its a water-jet flosser that's meant to be good

I'll give the flossing a go too.

My friend was going on about them before and I was only half listening to her,I must ask her where she got them.

I hate to promote a product but I go through an awful lot of this stuff and I have to say it really did help me with my bleeding and sore gums, though as said, don't use it as a replacement to anything but an addition to current cleaning.

Just back from the dentist. She said I have some form of gum disease but she could'nt understand where it was coming from as I had such good oral hygiene and hardly any plaque,so shes sending me for an xray and she gave me these wire yokes that I have to use and recommended I use the gel form of corsodyl gel with the wire yoke, should I use the mouthwash too?

no need, the gel works the same way, but since it's a gel the gums are exposed to it longer than a mouthwash. make sure you use the brushes in the right way too.
