Fitting Eiretyres Limerick

    Howdy,

Having horrible time with Tyres since I bought the Alfa (long story) - now going bargain basement for tyres for sanity purposes.

Looked up Eiretyres and decided on the tyres to go for. Rang Mid-West Tyres on the dock road just now as they were the first on the list of suggested fitters in Limerick. The woman that answered had to confirm a couple of times that I'd not be buying the tyres from them. I got the feeling she was a bit insulted. Anyway she quoted €22.50 per tyre. Being €15 to fit €5 to Balance and €2.50 to dispose of each tyre.

Anyone do this in either the Limerick or Tralee area - where did you get it done and can ye beat €90.

    Thanks

I hear Limerick Tyre Centre (061)424722 as you come in towards the South Court hotel will fit them. 12-15 per wheel if I recall correctly?

OK, hope you meant the tyres were ordered before you posted, and not ordered on the basis of the figure I mentioned, cos that's only anecdotal!
Let us know how much the total cost is if you can, will prob get my next set online and would be handiest to fit them in Limerick...

What you need OP is a fella in a small little shed tyre guy, who fits tyres, fixes punctures and will be glad of the cash in hand - not big places who want to charge you the full whack/vat/the worx ........seek and you shall find. There is generally one of those fella's around somewhere.

No it was done on the basis of what you said... Nah, bought them before I saw your post.

All four tyres plus fitting will cost less than what one cost me via Grandons. Albeit totally different tyres, but even backs were illegal before 10k miles so I've no choice if I'm to keep sanity.

    I'll keep ye posted.

Bennyblanco has the right idea. Small outfit in the back of a service station etc. - cash job! I got 4 tyres fitted & balanced for €40 last week! Not in your part of the country though!

Try these Guys - Small Countryside setup behind a House, but with relevant equipment etc, 15 mins from Limerick.

    - Have a good reputation and are known to be keenly priced, I'd be prepared to haggle.

    +1

I had two tyres fitted there that I bought off www.camskill.co.uk. Cost me €25 including fitting, balancing and disposing.

MTS on the Dublin Road will also fit them.

I always get Johnjoe out of "O'Sullivans Garage Driomna" - They are just outside Charleville... won't get a better price or quality of work. Even if it is just fitting tyres
