    From the Highland radio website.

'' A major garda search operation is continuing between Stranorlar and Convoy after three men fled from a garda checkpoint last night. At around seven o’clock, gardai stopped a car in which they say four men were seen acting suspiciously.
One man was arrested at the scene and brought to Letterkenny Garda Station. Three men fled the scene, and are still at large. We understand a firearm has been recovered, and a possible link with dissident republicans is being investigated
Superintendent Vincent O’Brien says the search for the three men is being concentrated in the areas of Cooladawson, Gortnaletragh and Cavan Lower.''

I heard the helicopter out from around 8 pm, and it was still flying about at 2 am in the morning! Crazy stuff.
Those areas are up by Ballybofey and Stranorlar Golf Club, just in case anyone doesn't know.

the gardai also had a checkpoint out the dual carraigeway in letterkenny not checking tax or anything just telling people to lock their doors and windows. this must be the reason why

The Gardai were out on my road pulling vans. Very rare for these parts.

Good to hear that they are on to this.
