This City has taken a further 6 foot dive as it now seems that our City Council has begun to extort the dead :o

This thread is pointless if you don't tell us what you are on about. No one is going to ring a funeral home for no stated reason.

I am guessing he is on about the City council's money grabbing new scheme, where they have increased the cost of opening a grave for a burial by €225

Plus they have brought in some big increases in plot prices in certain graveyards.

So getting a grave opened in a graveyard controlled by the City Coucil is costing €700, but to get a grave opened in one controlled by the County Council will cost the old price of €475

Sorry - Folks, thought someone would have a link to this story, couldn't find one earlier!!!

Read in one of the freebie Papers that The City Council has hiked the cost of planting your non-responsive Mates and Kin by €225 to €700

    - Seems that revenue needs to be generated from other sources now that People are refusing to visit the City and pay the extortionate parking fees.....

i suppose this is just another way of increasing the cost of permanent parking:rolleyes:

Yeah its cheaper to be buried in the county than in the city.

Even the dead dont want to be located in the city
