I'm looking around for a car and want reliabilty and a reasonable price. I can pick up a 1.6L Primera with about 16k on the clock for about 10k or a 2006 with closer to 40k on the clock for just under 8k/7.5k from dealerships.

What sort of a car is it? Test drove one and it seemed fine, not brilliant, but solid.

Basically the old model Mondeo and the Octavia with similar engine sizes and mileage seem to be a few k more to buy and I don't think I'm getting much more in terms of reliability for that money. I'm not fusy about speed, image, status or the feel of the drive. I just want reliability at a good price - any opinions?

Was discussed yesterday, not the most reliable of cars.

    Thanks man.

Went back a few pages and read that post. Looks like I'll have to come up with an extra k or two and go for the Mondeo!
