Any 3g operator supply 3g modems with external aerial socket for improved reception?

    Looking for a 3g modem to use in the sticks that can connect to an external aerial for improved reception to an aerial like this clip on antenna or an external wall mountable one

    Next questions is has anyone actually used anything like these?

    I have a 3 Huawei 160G. It has a socket for an external aerial.

    IIRC a number ( but not all ) of models of Huawei dongles have this.

    Some posts on this board on the topic - suggest you search for them before deciding that this is the fix for all your problems
