    Hello,
I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there are grading concessions for foreign national students at 3rd level.
In an essay would a foreign national be penalised for grammer, syntax erors etc.
Essentially, i'm trying to figure out if the marking section that goes for structure & grammer is automatically awarded to a foreign national in lieu of the fact that English is not their native language?
or are they awarded an extra e.g. 20% overall, similar to doing the leaving cert in irish?
    Many thanks

I'm almost 100% sure that it is graded the exact same way as the native english speaking students; papers if it is the same assignment that they are doing
