Ok it's a miserable wednesday morning and I've finally hit the wall after all this depressing weather. I'm so pale I think I've turned translucent. I've even lost all my healthy freckles which I didn't think was possible.

Is there anywhere you can be guaranteed a few hours of sunshine on a beach in the next 6 weeks in Europe anymore?

Tenerife or lanzarote would always have provided a somewhat reliable few days. Nothing fancy or over the top. It'll probably just be a case of persuading my mother she too needs some sun - that will not be hard!

Cheap and cheerful sun in March - that's all I'm asking for!

    Help me!!

Morocco, Egypt or the Canaries are your only choices really. Egypt is more costly but you would probably get a 4 star hotel. Try www.latedeals.ie or lastminute.com if you are looking to go as soon as March. Otherwise try all the tour operators like Falcon, Sunway + Sunworld.

Hit Aerlingus.com and ryanair.com, then onto overseas section of daft.ie or ownersdirect.co.uk - hey presto, cheap holiday and no fees to the tour operator - do this every year to Lanzarote. Works out so cheap when you get the right flights!

My parents run a apartment rental company in Almeria Spain. Its quiet nice other there at this time of the year. The are doing recession prices of €200 for a week in 2 bed apartment and €250 from May till September. You could fit five people in no problem so work out very cheap per person.

If you want any info you can PM me and I can give you there website address etc.
