Just a question about something that happened last weekend.

We were playing 9 man freezeout.

There were 3 left, cant remember exact stacks but the button was lowest with say 6000 the small blind had about 9000 and the big blind had about 14000.

Button pushed all in and then the small blind pushed all in, then the big blind called. Big blind won the hand easy beating both hands but the lad on the button's hand beat the small blind's hand.

The lads then argued the button claiming that after the hand both players had no chips (as the big blind had both stacks) that second place should be decided on the better of the 2 hands.

The lad on the small blind argued that as he had more chips going into the hand he should be second.

Who is right or are they both wrong?????

Whoever had most chips is second.

Whoever had most chips is second.

Thanks, is that an actual rule or just your opinion?
