    So, facebook have went and written a 'source code transformer' that converts php to c++ and compiles it. Apparently they experience 50% less CPU useage (It has been used on facebook,com for the last 6 months.

    Probably Useless for the small developers, like most of us here, but we could see more really big sites popping up running in PHP.
