Two quick questions

I applied for JB at beginning of Jan, after finishing up in my previous job in late December. I got a letter today to inform me that my first date for collection of benefit is this Thursday, but it says on the letter that I need to bring my SWS plastic card or a temporary yellow card to the post office to collect it. I don't have the plastic card anymore - I would have received it approximately 14 years ago and never needed it until now, or even knew what it was for. It wasn't mentioned to me when I applied about needing this, so if I go into my SW office tomorrow will I be able to get a temporary card on the spot or will this take a while and delay my collecting on Thursday? Also if they will give it to me can I get this at the general enquiries counters (which seem to be quicker) or will I need to queue as a new applicant again which takes much longer?

Sorry if this is a ridiculous question, I'm just not familiar with this and as the two ticketing systems are separate in my local office I don't want to spend an hour or so waiting for the general enquiries counters to be then told I should go somewhere else.

** I did have a second question regarding back pay but realised it's probably easier for me to ask them myself tomorrow.**

    Thanks.

Bring photographic ID and proof of address along with PPS number with you. There is a small form you fill out & you will be given a temporary card. HTH
