Was watching the news tonight and there was a report about how for the first time in 15 years, there are more people leaving the country than entering it.

The report went on to say that people are mainly moving to Canada and Australia and also the usual England.

Then there was an interview with a couple who have kids. This family are moving to Australia as the parents want to give the kids the best upbringing they can.

But here's the thing I don't get. He's a painter. And he was clearly over 30 years of age. Therefore, he doesn't qualify for the Working Holiday Visa, nor does he qualify as having one of the skills recognised as being in short supply down under.

So how are this family, and others, getting in to Australia? And I hear of others going to Canada etc.

    How?

Its so easy to get visas for Canada and Australia, Australia are practically giving them away. If you research it enough you can get one easily. You can get it through your spouse or children. He probably enrolled his children into school and got visas that way. Also if you have enough savings you can buy them easily too!

Buy a visa? How much would you have to pay?

Investments. In Australia you can get a visa for your partner, you don't even have to be married!

I think you are a little out of date on this. As from April 2010 the Australian MDOL is dead and the CSL will be so tight that unless you are highly qualified - Doctor etc. you have no chance of obtaining a work visa once your over 30.......... And as for buying a visa  Their was a system a few years ago where you logged 100,000 AUD in an Oz account to get some extra points but not any more.
