adjusting status in US after entering on Visa Waiver Program

    Hi im wondering is it possible to travel to the US through the Visa Waiver Program and then while in the US apply for a visa, as i intend staying longer than 90 days but want to do everything above board?

    Nope. If you read the rules, it says that a person admitted under the VWP cannot adjust their status whilst in the United States.
    You are best to apply to the embassy in Dublin beforehand.
